We, the Merthyr Fire Cadets, are taking part in the Mind Mental Elf 5K to support Mind, a charity that plays a vital role in providing mental health support to people in need. Mental health affects everyone—friends, family, colleagues, and even ourselves. In the fire and emergency services community, we see every day how important it is to have emotional resilience and access to support when times get tough.
By taking part in this event, we want to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and help break the stigma around mental health. The money raised will go directly towards helping people in our community access advice, counselling, and crisis support at times when they need it most.
We are proud to work as a team, challenge ourselves, and support such a meaningful cause. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference.
