Rhys runs in Aid of Brecon and District Mind
Rhys Ridge-Evans will be running the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon in aid of Brecon and District Mind on 6th October 2024.
Rhys, who works for Brecon Town Council, has written some words for why he’s chosen us as his charity –
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has dealt, or currently deals with mental health issues, but the fact remains that there aren’t enough men speaking out about it.
During lockdown 1 in Wales, just like most of the country, my mental health took a very steep dive, and Brecon and District Mind helped me through that. This is my chance to give back to them, for the work that they did to help me.
Whether it’s 50p or £50, your donation matters to help continue this vital service within our community.
Thank you,
Rhys x
We are so grateful to Rhys and all of our fundraisers and, as he says, any contribution makes a huge impact to a small, independent charity like ours. Your support helps us to be ‘here when you need us to help you manage your mental health and wellbeing’ to ensure that no one in our local community has to face their mental health issue alone.
You can support Rhys’ amazing efforts by donating here on his JustGiving page.
If you’d like to get involved with any fundraising of your own or wish to make a donation to Brecon and District Mind, please contact [email protected], or call 07487 523994.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and please spread the word about Rhys’s Run.
