Finally, let’s introduce you to the whole Family team!
Ros Sandhu
My name is Ros and I have worked at Brecon and District Mind for a year. I am a Mums Matter Facilitator. I have two daughters. My background is in secondary school teaching, and I am trained to teach mindfulness techniques to children and adults. I have a lot of experience of working with, and supporting young people and their families. I have also worked as a wellbeing facilitator within the NHS and my passion is helping people to stay physically and mentally healthy when times are tough. Did you know sunflowers follow the sun but when it’s cloudy and grey they face each other and share their energy? This is why groups are often so powerful and why I especially love facilitating groupwork.
(Currently on sabbatical)
Clare Searle
My name is Clare and I am an Administrator for the Family Team here at Brecon and District Mind. I have been lucky enough to work for B&DM for several years and I beaver away in the background, I may well be the first point of contact for your phone calls and emails, so don’t be scared, it’s only me! I am a mum of one and a bit of an animal lover with various pets. A colleague took this photo of me whilst we were alpaca walking and I couldn’t resist sharing this photo of myself and ‘Lexus’!
Sarah James
Hi, I’m Sarah and I have worked at Brecon and District Mind for over three years. I am a Mums Matter Facilitator and Senior Family Support Practitioner. I have a little boy and remember well the sleepless nights and challenges of being a new mum, which I talk about in Mums Matter. I have a background working with young people and families in the Communities First program and as a Counsellor. I’m particularly interested in giving people practical tools and techniques to improve their lives and watching people grow. I especially enjoy spending time with my son dinosaur hunting in our local park, he has an amazing imagination! I also love the theatre and going out with friends.
Becky Evans
Hi, my name is Becky, I am the new Mums Matter Facilitator at Mind. I am also a Holistic Therapist trained in Angelic Reiki, crystal healing, energy healing and Soul Centre Healing Hypnosis. I come from a blended family, and I help look after my partner’s two children. I love all things wellbeing and I have been on a personal journey of growth to developing my own inner happiness and what that looks like for me. I am very excited to bring some practical tools and skills I have gained over the years to the Mums Matter position.
