Grief Workshop Supports Honest Conversations About Loss

Yesterday afternoon, Brecon & District Mind’s Gethin and Ness delivered a powerful Grief Workshop, kindly hosted by Silver Assist’s care home.

The session created a safe, compassionate space for residents and attendees to explore the realities of grief, loss, and healing. Through open discussion and shared experiences, it highlighted the importance of support networks and reminded us that no one has to face grief alone.

Brecon & District Mind offers a wide range of services, including bereavement support, counselling, Green Minds, groups, and one-to-one support.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Silver Assist for welcoming us into their home and working with us to trial this workshop. Their support helps us explore new ways of delivering wellbeing sessions in community and workplace settings.

In addition, Brecon & District Mind hosts a monthly Bereavement Café at Kensington Baptist Church on the first Friday of every month, from 2:30pm–4:00pm. This welcoming space is open to anyone who would like to share experiences, find comfort, or simply talk over a cup of tea.
