We can’t do what we do without support from people like you!

With reduced funding, Brecon and District Mind needs your help now more than ever. We provide the crucial need for Mental Health support across South Powys.

Your contribution directly allows us to be ‘here when you need us to help you manage your mental health and wellbeing’ to ensure that no one in our local community has to face their mental health issue alone. Whether through donations or fundraising, your support ensures we can continue delivering the vital services that so many depend on. We are incredibly grateful to all of our donors and fundraisers – without you, none of this would be possible. Every contribution, big or small, has a significant impact on a local, independent charity like ours.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

  • Donate – want to keep it simple and donate to us?
    Head to our donate page
  • Do your own fundraising – want to set yourself a challenge or organise an event? Always wanted to do a skydive, bog snorkelling or organise a Christmas party?
  • Fundraise with colleagues – want to hold a dress down or zero waste day in work?

  • Make Brecon and District Mind your company’s Charity of the Year – want to go that extra mile and commit to activities throughout the year to raise funds and awareness of Brecon and District Mind?
  • Leave a gift in your will – want to help us deliver our services for future generations?
  • Remember a loved one – donate or fundraise in their name, such as a funeral collection.

There are lots of ways to fundraise and we love hearing your great ideas. If you’d like to get involved, contact [email protected] or 01874 611529 and we can support you to make a difference in our community.

We know times for people and businesses are tough right now, so we really appreciate you considering helping out. Thank you!

Why choose Brecon and District Mind?

We’re part of the national Mind federation but we’re a small, independent charity, responsible for generating our own income. We rely on our supporters, alongside applying to charitable trusts and foundations to fund our own services.

How can I get the funds to you?

By cheque – please make cheques payable to Brecon and District Mind and post to Brecon and District Mind, St David’s House, 48 Free Street, Brecon, LD3 7BN

By Bank Transfer – please contact us and we can provide you with the details you need to arrange a BACS payment: 01874 611529 / [email protected]

By cash – please pop into the centre or contact us so we can come to collect: 01874 611529 / [email protected]

What is gift aid?

If you are a UK taxpayer, our preferred method of donations is using Gift Aid – a simple government scheme to help charities like Brecon and District Mind get more from the money you donate as a UK taxpayer. We get 25p extra for every pound you donate, in effect reclaiming the income tax that you have paid on the donation. There is an option to tick gift aid on JustGiving, or ask us for a form to complete if donating another way on: 01874 611529 / [email protected]

Fundraising Regulator

Brecon and District Mind is registered with the Fundraising Regulator, the independent regulator of charitable fundraising. Established following the 2015 cross-party review of fundraising self-regulation, it works to ensure that charities who raise money from the public do so appropriately. As a charity, Brecon and District Mind follows the regulator’s Fundraising Code of Practice.
