Ros Sandhu

My name is Ros and I have worked at Brecon Mind for a year.  I am a Mums Matter Facilitator and I also work in the Children and Young People Service. I have 2 daughters.  My background is in secondary school teaching and I am trained to teach mindfulness techniques to children and adults; I have a lot of experience of working with, and supporting young people and their families. I have also worked as a wellbeing facilitator within the NHS and my passion is helping people to stay physically and mentally healthy when times are tough. Did you know sunflowers follow the sun but when its cloudy and grey they face each other and share their energy. This is why groups are often so powerful and why I especially love facilitating groupwork

Lisa Price

Hi, I’m Lisa and I started working at Brecon Mind in September 2020. I am the new Family Support Worker, and I am very excited to join the Children and young people’s team at Mind. I have two children aged eight and three, so I am very aware of the organised chaos that comes with raising children and how amazing children are at keeping us happy and tired at the same time. My previous work has been Psychology based with CBT therapy and Assistant Psychology work and I really enjoy Mindfulness as a stress reduction tool. My favourite thing to do is get out for a walk with my family/friends and the dog and forget about the housework for a little while. This is also something I’m hoping to do in my new role (mum’s walk and talk groups) when guidelines relax a little as I know how beneficial getting out in nature can be especially if you can connect with friends at the same time.

Clare Searle

My name is Clare and I am an Administrator for the Family Team here at Brecon and District Mind. I have been lucky enough to work for B&DM for the past 5 years and I beaver away in the background, I may well be the first point of contact for your phone calls and emails, so don’t be scared its only me! I am a Mum of 1 and a bit of an animal lover with various pets. A colleague took this photo of me whilst we were alpaca walking and I couldn’t resist sharing this photo of myself and ‘Lexus’!

Sarah James

Sarah, our Family Services Practitioner and Mums Matter project facilitator, has been with us for 3 years, Sarah is a hard working and much loved member of the family team. Sara’s pen portrait will follow shortly.
