Brecon and District Mind supports people in the community affected by mental illness and distress. We are here to help. We do this by providing high quality services to promote good mental health and well-being.
We have to meet the Mind Quality Mark in order to provide this service and consistently maintain those standards for the benefit of the people that access our services.
Brecon and District Mind is part of the voluntary sector and provides services that complement those provided by other statutory and voluntary agencies.
We welcome anyone during our open access sessions. We offer a wide range of healthy activities, courses and workshops designed to support and empower people experiencing mental distress to move towards recovery.
We provide our services in four places within the Brecon Beacons National Park in mid-Wales, our centre in Brecon, Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Crickhowell.
The people who make use of our services are at the heart of the organisation. Our services are delivered by an experienced and friendly team of people, staff and volunteers. These are overseen by the board of Trustees/Directors and supported by an active Friends group. (link to staff list)(Link to Directors list)
We are here to help so why not call in for a friendly chat and a cup of tea or check out our recent Programme of Events and what’s on notices to see what activities and events we are running.
